Conspiracy nuts

I know how strange this is coming from me, but some conspiracy people are just certifiably insane. I can find a government conspiracy in a lot of things, but FFS, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

I am embarrassed to be lumped in with these lunatics.

Make the BATFE accountable

For those of you that don’t know the name David Olofson, he is a veteran that was wrongfully convicted of the illegal transfer of a machine gun back in 2008 after his AR-15 malfunctioned and fired multiple rounds from a single trigger pull, leading the BATFE to conclude that it was a machine gun.

In response to the BATFE’s policy of bullying otherwise law abiding citizens into lengthy legal battles, Rep Phil Gingrey (GA) and 26 cosponsors are pushing H.R. 1923 — Fairness in Firearm Testing Act which would require the BATFE to submit video evidence of the test firing of these “illegal machine guns” in the cases against the owners.

The BATFE was out of control in the 90′s with the Waco Siege and the fictitious charges and subsequent slaughter they leveled against Randy Weaver and his family. Congress passed the Firearm Owners Protection Act in 1986 in response to ATF abuses, but clearly, that wasn’t good enough to even get their attention.

Take this opportunity to contact your representatives and tell them to support H.R. 1923 and any other measures that will restrict rogue government agencies that abuse their power over law abiding citizens.

Poetry – Unlikely I know …

The ancient tradition that the world will be consumed in fire at the end of six thousand years is true, as I have heard from Hell.

For the cherub with his flaming sword is hereby commanded to leave his guard at tree of life; and when he does, the whole creation will be consumed and appear infinite and holy, whereas it now appears finite and corrupt.

This will come to pass by an improvement of sensual enjoyment.

But first the notion that man has a body distinct from his soul is to be expunged. This I shall do, by printing in the infernal method, by corrosives, which in Hell are salutary and medicinal, melting apparent surfaces away, and displaying the infinite which was hid.

If the doors of perception were cleansed, every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.

For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.

Busy Busy Busy

I haven’t updated this in a while now. There’s a lot to talk about, but I’m pressed for time, so I have to keep this short.

The election is over. Looks like the people are tired of fascism and want four years of socialism. Excellent.

Brittany bought a house and we’re remodeling it before we move in (next week hopefully). Stained concrete is a lot more work than the internet makes it out to be ;)

I’m still with VZ.

The Mustang is doing well, as is the Talon.

Oh! We got a puppy!

Taka

His name is Taka and he’s an Akita. He’ll grow up into a heck of an addition to the security system on the house. 110 pounds of Akita is a handful.

I guess that’s all for now. I’ll try to update more regularly.

Hurricane Ike

Well, as I’m sure you’ve all noticed, Ike is over land now. It’s still a cat 1 storm at the time of this writing, but it’s weakening. It looks like the worst of it is going to go east of Dallas, but who knows. I’m sure we’ll get some rain.

Houston got completely POUNDED, but I wanted to let everyone know that we’re alive and well, and that it looks like we don’t have much to worry about.

GET SOME NUTS!

I found this recently online and had to share it. It’s from an advertising campaign in the UK, so we probably wouldn’t see it here.

Enjoy

Wave goodbye to the Fourth Amendment

The groups of corporate lapdogs that were once called the House and Senate have both passed H.R. 6304, and now the traitorous governor Bush is expected to sign it into law. This new addition to our laws will give immunity to the telecommunications companies that participated in Bush’s illegal wiretapping of American Citizens following September 11, 2001.

You know – this is disgusting. When Nixon did this type of thing, he was forced to resign, and the American people called him out for being the criminal thug that he was. How did the population get so ignorant that they now pat governor Bush on the back for doing exactly the same thing, and then creating laws to protect the people that he committed the crimes with?

Check out how your senator(s) voted … assuming anyone cares.

Impeach Bush and Cheney and put them on trial for treason!

Life Lesson

A friend of mine sent this to me. It’s pretty entertaining.

—————————————————————-

A father passing by his son’s bedroom was astonished to see
that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to ‘Dad.’

With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with
trembling hands and read the letter.

Dear Dad:

It is with great regret and sorrow that I’m writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it’s not only the passion…Dad, she’s pregnant.

Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in
the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We
share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn’t really hurt anyone.
We’ll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it. Don’t worry Dad. I’m 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I’m sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren.

Love,
Your Son Ryan

PS. Dad, none of the above is true. I’m over at Tommy’s house. I Just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than a report card . That’s in my center desk drawer.

I love you.

Call me when it’s safe to come home.
