First time at the drag strip

Well, the Talon hit the strip for the first time last night. It wasn’t anything too impressive, but it was fun none the less.
I ran a 14.333 @ 98 mph… Sloooooooow for this car.
In my defense, the gearbox is pretty crappy, and really hard to shift (I missed second once), but that wasn’t the real problem. The real problem is that I’ve still got an OE clutch in the car, and that just doesn’t cut it when you’re putting down ~400WHP. I put about 3000 miles worth of wear on that clutch disk in those last 12 seconds of that run, and frankly, I’m surprised it didn’t explode. It slips at anything above 15psi of boost now
I have a transmission I’m working on getting (next week) that was built by Forced Performance. I’ll slap that in with an ACT 2600 and a sprung 6 puck disk with an aluminum flywheel, get the car dialed in on fuel and I’ll hit 12′s at least
… End of Line …
